First Stage: Before Headquarters Relocation (1949-1990)

1905   Matsukichi Kuwazawa, started developing and selling first the Japanese water meter from Matsumoto.
1949 April The minister of Business and Industry authorized TOYOKEIKI to manufacture a water meter.
May TOYOKEIKI changed to Co., Ltd
(TOYOKEIKI’s first account settlement).
1952 August Matsumoto city invited TOYOKEIKI to build a new factory.

1954 April Tokyo branch office was established.
1956 October Koriyama local office was established.
1962 May Osaka local office was established.
1964 April Gas meter factory (in Shiojiri) was built. TOYOKEIKI began to manufacture gas meters in this factory.

1966 April Nagoya local office was established.
1976 March Hiroshima business office was established.
1977 July Sendai local office was established.
1978 July Sapporo local office was established.
September Fukuoka local office was established.
October Gas meter factory (in Hotaka) was built.
1979 April Takamatsu local office was established.
1984 July Shizuoka business office was established.
December Kanazawa and Niigata business offices were established.
December System team was established.
1985 April Maebashi business office was established.
July Kushiro business office was established.
October The first National TOKEIKAI was held, and The Union of National TOKEKAI was formed.
December TOYOKEIKI and Panasonic Electronics Device (now Panasonic) conducted joint Development of “Security meter system for LPG”.

1986 January Chiba business office was established.
1987 February TOYOKEIKI developed the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system “RINDOW” for water meters and gas meters (To meet requirements mandated by Telecommunications Business Act).
September TOYOKEIKI and The High Pressure Gas Safety Institute of Japan (managed by Ministry of International Trade and Industry) conducted joint development of “Micom Meter II” for LPG.
October TOYOKEIKI developed Highly-sensitive water meter “UW”.
December Kagoshima business office was established.
1988 May TOYOKEIKI developed a bidirectional telegraph communication micom meter for LPG.
December Aomori business office was established.
1989 October TOYOKEIKI developed a water meter with a direction-changeable lid.
1990 January Matsuyama business office was established.
